You can work remotely. There are some training opportunities, though they can be hard to get approved, and they usually go for the cheapest option. If you work in the office, there are events you can attend. The people are nice, especially in the European offices.

Where do I even begin? I worked on the corporate side, and honestly, it’s all bad. Both the product and development teams are led by folks who don't understand work-life balance. They enforce a toxic work culture and often lack basic decency towards their colleagues. The product team's management is both abusive and ineffective. The upper level seems more focused on making employees miserable, being passive-aggressive, and talking down to them, all while offering zero support. The other manager's role is equally unclear—overloading employees with work, failing to prioritize, and generally lacking any real management skills. They treat their team as a dumping ground for random responsibilities, and promotions or raises are nonexistent, even when people's roles have expanded significantly. The development management is aggressive and does whatever they want, completely ignoring the product side, making collaboration impossible. In the end, product just has to go along with whatever dev says because, well, product doesn’t write the code. Honestly, none of the teams are doing a good job. There’s no long-term vision here. Roadmap items are random, usually dictated by the CEO or by brilliant minds in product management, the main motivation behind a project being "we're doing it, because we can". The hardest workers are constantly overlooked and disregarded in corporate. If you’re reading this, know that it’s not a recent issue—it’s been this way since a couple of years ago, and it’s only gotten worse. Avoid this place if you value your sanity—you’ll find nothing but burnout here.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry for your experience. We wish you had raised up issues to your manager and the People Team so we could work together to resolve them. Regarding our strategy, we set it at the beginning of the year and adjust to market conditions throughout the year, as do most software companies. We share updates and progress against our roadmap in every all hands. Regarding promotions and salary increases, our annual FOCAL review happens in our first quarter, as it has for the past five years. This year, we had 75 promotions, which is approximately 11.5% of our employees. While no company is perfect, we strive to have an inclusive and respectful work environment, where everyone can contribute to the success of our common goals. Very supportive managers and a fun, highly collaborative team. The department fosters an environment where ideas are openly shared and opportunities for improvement are discussed constructively without toxicity. Truly the best company I’ve worked for so far.

Outdated technology stack. The platform is built on legacy foundations, and modernization efforts haven't kept pace with the market. Leadership lacks domain depth. Many senior leaders don't have deep cybersecurity or IT backgrounds, which makes it difficult for them to set a clear product vision, read where the market is heading, or chart a credible path to get there. This was supposed to be a cyber company, but outside of the MDR team, that expertise is thin at the top. Good ideas die quietly. I brought forward multiple product ideas that were blocked repeatedly with the rationale that the company is "device-centric, not user-centric." That framing felt disconnected from what the market actually demands. Priorities shift without communication. Strategic direction changed several times during my tenure, but product was rarely looped in ahead of those shifts. I'd learn about new priorities after the fact, with no context on why things changed. Attrition goes unaddressed. There were multiple rounds of quiet layoffs and a steady stream of voluntary departures. Leadership never paused to examine why people were leaving or to share any explanation with the remaining team. The expectation was simply to carry on as if nothing had happened. Bottom line: A challenging culture, unclear leadership direction, and a product that isn't showing up on shortlists where competitors are winning deals. I'd encourage prospective candidates to ask hard questions before joining.
