ManpowerGroup was created from the original staffing business (Manpower) and a group of companies purchased to diversify and update the services provided. Those additional businesses are now the growing sectors and future of the company.

The staffing side of the business was years behind the competitors in innovating, lost market share for many years and has been in chaos. Major restructure of staffing business model was announced in 2013 then retracted at the end of the year. The top heads rolled in 2014 only after major chaos in the field and significant cuts of talent and experience throughout the country. Top staffing exec's LI profile brags about cutting headcount but can't say the business client base grew. Current CEO used to say the company couldn't 'shrink ourselves to greatness' but the company continues to use staff cuts to achieve numbers/quarterly earnings for stockholders. Not surprising that within Manpower there is a culture of fear. If you are looking for a company which values people, do not look here.
