Okay place to work - Recensione dipendente - Shift Manager presso Maple Lake Academy

Loving environment! Kids actually make progress here and I love being part of that. The owners are wonderful! Very accommodating and comfortable place to work. I left for another job opportunity and within a year had returned because I missed the work environment so much.

RTCs are hard work. Small business so it can't offer the same compensation as larger institutions.

-30 hour work week counts as full time -depending on the position very flexible -kids are generally easier than most rtcs -great opportunities for advancement because of the high turnover lol

-owner micromanages -lack of professionalism in communication and just a lack of communication in general due to being spread too thin (see micromanagement) -feedback is not welcome at all -rather than make changes in the way they run things they would rather just hire somebody else who doesn't know the difference yet -the senior management gets the final say on HR issues so there is no way to report anything concerning them Let's just say I would not recommend working here to anyone I knew or cared about!!
