Vantaggi
At one point, the company attracted and retained genuinely high-caliber talent. Historically offered a more open, collaborative environment with less hierarchy. Colleagues at the individual contributor and middle-management levels were often capable, committed, and professional. Free food and office perks (though these do not compensate for deeper structural issues).
Svantaggi
Executive leadership (notably the CEO and COO) consistently fails to take ownership of mistakes, instead deflecting responsibility downward. Communication from the C-suite is poor, inconsistent, and often reactive rather than transparent. Culture is talked about extensively but not modeled or reinforced through leadership behavior. Little to no real investment in employee development, growth, or retention. Senior leaders’ advice is frequently ignored; dissenting perspectives are not welcomed. Employees whose philosophies or leadership styles do not align with the executive narrative are often pushed out. Decisions made at the executive level suggest misaligned priorities (e.g., luxury purchases during periods of large-scale layoffs), which has damaged morale and trust. The company appears increasingly disconnected from market realities and internal feedback, raising serious concerns about long-term viability.
