Mattel provides an excellent summer intern program for MBA students. Recruiting from top schools across the country, Mattel attracts diverse talent for various roles with serious intent to hire. Mattel's summer internship is full of events and speakers that are specifically set up to welcome and educate interns and the internship provides a great way for MBA students to try out the company before coming on full time. Many of Mattel's top management came from the intern program themselves, so people highly value the interns. It's a great program that really allows interns to get a feel for life at Mattel while doing meaningful work.

Svantaggi

Since Mattel is struggling right now to grab back the top spot in toys, the morale is lower now than perhaps in other years. It is always fun to be at a company that is winning, and one where bonuses and perks are given more freely, but I feel that Mattel has a strong history and portfolio of brands and that the current state of the business should not dissuade someone from an intern or full time position at the company.

Additionally, the benefits package is not highly competitive and could be enhanced by offering tuition assistance and more structured opportunities for professional development and internal mobility. Annual layoffs have also created an ongoing sense of uncertainty and stress among employees.
