The training and development at Maurices is amazing. There are so many tools and resources at your fingertips. Coaching in the moment and follow up with employees is a necessity in order to keep the store and processes running smoothly. My district did not micro manage which was nice, basically a store manager runs the store as if he or she is the owner. You are empowered to make your own choices based on company standards (every employee, from sales/stock to store manager) .

There are not enough hours given to implement changes as directed by corporate. District manager visits are not consistent. Credit and standards should be re assessed, team accountability is often better than individual accountability. Some guidelines from the Associate handbook are not implemented (while others are followed strictly)
