Amazing team and co workers. That is it.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. Manager was incompetent and constantly at the pool while her team was drowning. Constantly talked about how busy she was and how many emails she has, while she did nothing all day. She could not train IN PERSON or REMOTELY. No structure, no organization whatsoever, no processes in place, completely scatter brained. Several instances where the team would email, call, and teams chat the manager and she was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. Constantly talked about how she was “drowning in emails” and how overwhelmed she was, while not a single task got done. My managers manager consistently enabled this behavior and never held her accountable for it either. When I questioned this behavior, I was asked about whether or not I was a “good fit” for the role. Me questioning my management not being able to train me, not knowing the role, disappearing for hours at a time, and not being supportive makes me not a good fit? It was laughable at how hard they were trying to cover up all these issues. Manager was not open to new ideas at all and wanted to run the department like the 1800s. Ma’am it is 2021….no one wants to continue to use an Excel spreadsheet for every little thing, no modern technology, a ridiculous amount of workload, and 12 hour work days. ALSO you are expected to get on a ridiculous amount of calls back to back, where you are READING a spreadsheet out loud to each service line and where their provider is in the process. The calls were ridiculous and a waste of time. If you are a PROVIDER and planning to join MedStar, DO NOT! The hiring and onboarding experience will be horrific as there has been a high turnover in those departments. FOUR people resigned within a month - FOUR! Prayers go out to the service lines.
