Management doesn't get they make employees feel cheated, disrespected, intimidated, micro-managed, manipulated, over-worked, underpaid, etc...Managers will demand employes to go above and beyond the call of duty . Don't worry, you won't be recognized for actions above and beyond; Only the higher ups get that kind of satisfaction as they pat each other on the back and get their increases while implementing even more responsibility on you. On top of that, promotion is all inside as is a majority of the hiring process. UNLESS you are friend or family of management, you can FORGET -calling in sick (you'll be written up/fired..its best to bring your infectious illness to work..you probably got the illness from your coworkers); -applying for or using approved FMLA (you'll be written up for "something" then fired...its best to just bring your JP drain & staples -or- newborn to work..your coworkers understand this situation). -asking for specific day off (management will tell you "no staff to cover" then promptly punish you by cancelling your next 2 scheduled shifts to make sure you don't ever request a day off...its best to ask your coworkers to exchange shifts; they'll jump at the chance to make up for their cancelled shifts). -going to HR (HR protects their facility not the staff employee; you will be fired if you talk to HR...best to talk with your coworkers, coworkers want you to keep your job). Management knows information is power; so expect management to withhold information from staff...this has a two fold effect: staff = "dumb" & management = "smart "(its a win/win for management). Management will tell staff which political party to vote for, which church to attend and which volunteer functions to support...I thought these topics are a "no-no" but I'm not telling HR, I need my paycheck..

Quality care. Patient focused. Room for growth depending on skill but sometimes based on who you know which is a con. Lots of great providers who really care.

A lot of politics and favortism. People get promoted in leadership that don't deserve it which makes for a miserable experience for those working with them . Some senior leaders are disrespectful, overly demanding, disregard others time and effort, manipulative, aggressive, belittling, don't understand the workload of others, inflict punishment based on their feelings or because they want to, do things for their own benefit and are dishonest.
