9/80 work schedule (when not forced into mandatory off Friday meetings)

Constant expectation to be available after hours or on off days. If you make plans on your off Friday, there is an expectation from senior leadership that you will attend calls while driving, etc. New CEO held an all hands telling employees that there will not be layoffs. The next thing that happened was layoffs. I learned that 3-4x per year we should expect a round of RIF’s. Leadership team has favorites. If you are in, great, if not, keep your resume updated.
