I worked for the hardware team. Everyday life at Meta's hardware division was simply “so so so amazing”. The young CTO /Senior VP of research is so passionate about the company & the AR technology space the whole hardware team is completely motivated by his vision, each day! The head of Meta’s hardware division has super strong leadership as well. He must be an Iron man in my opinion. As a startup, the hardware team at Meta is with very limited resources and man-power, but they delivered similar level of hardware experience as the other technical Giants in the AR space, i.e., Microsoft, which have ten times (if not more) resources than what the little startup Meta could provide to its hardware team. Each time when I saw people compare the Microsoft Hololens with Meta 2 side by side, I simply cannot stop thinking that these hardware folks must be superman who are tireless and never stop working. Other than that, I have no other explanation to justify how can they deliver so much, with so little resource, considering Hardware is a well-known costy, man-power intensive tough field.
