Vantaggi

The people are top-notch. So many talented designers and project managers working together, solving interesting problems we've never faced before. Thoughtful directors/principles constantly supporting and inspiring project teams to make amazing work. The SF office is moving in a great direction. New workshop space, expanding variety of project and internal work, awesome new hires, and a consistently welcoming and fun culture. Lots of support for career growth and opportunities to get involved in the design/education community. Opportunity for travel to NY and London offices.

Svantaggi

The offices can feel like somewhat separate entities, but traveling between offices for projects helps build a sense of community. Support is there for growth, but it's somewhat unstructured (except for annual reviews) so it can feel like it's up to the individual to put themselves out there or ask for advice.

Vantaggi

A great consulting company that gives you great internship experience with cross-functional teams

Svantaggi

As a junior software engineer, there's not many full time opportunities to work for METHOD, but they give you invaluable experience through their internship.

Vantaggi

Genuinely, colleagues are smart, kind and generous

Svantaggi

The cons are the projects that you get assigned on. unfortunately you have little control over that, and often due to lack of staffing you get put on projects you have no business being on. Projects issues include: - Bait and switch (told one thing, reality is different) - Set up to fail (no expertise, no training, impossible scope) - Under-resourced by design (sales drive this and often understaff to protect margin) - Team dysfunction (colleagues quit/disappear, you're left holding the bag) - No boundaries from leadership (client lead selling + executing with no limits) - Escalation ignored (flagged problems, nobody helped) - At client's beck and call (unreasonable expectations, constant demands)
