I enjoyed the people in the Mobile and Raleigh offices. They were very team oriented and willing to help whether or not you were part of their products. Healthy work/life balance. When I was off, I was completely unplugged. That might be different for the people working on the ETK product.

Svantaggi

Management did not stand up for their employees to other managers or customers. Because of this projects were always over budget and over schedule due to scope creep. My manager would tell me what I wanted to hear, and then never follow through. In my office, only 1 person was moved to the ETK product. Most were laid off within 8-10 months of the merger, and the remaining few now work from home. Legacy product support is slowly being outsourced, so it's only a matter of time for more layoffs.

The company was founded is run by CEO Kris Collo and CTO Mike Cerniglia. Both are young, bright, rational, generous and fair. The company pays 100% of premiums for an excellent healthcare plan -- that alone is worth at least an extra $10K in salary. The work environment is casual, friendly and fun. Catered breakfast is provided every Thursday. All employees are issued iPads as standard equipment. The company is in the process of building out an aggressive telework program, and it's easy to work from home whenever convenient. The company provides generous gifts and bonuses at the end of the year.

Svantaggi

The company added more than 50 employees in 2012. This has left the headquarters a little overcrowded. There are a very limited number of offices. The open floor plan of the office can make for a noisy work environment with limited personal space. There are few meeting rooms, which although occasionally inconvenient tends to discourage unnecessary meetings.
