Milestone has gone through multiple transformations over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, the mergers did not help streamline the company’s operations -quite the opposite. The culture transformed into a toxic one, extremely political and unpleasant.The constant restructuring has left the organization with people who are more comfortable with conformity than true experts in their fields.
The culture has also shifted from being globally driven to once again being heavily HQ-centric. All of this instability and continuous change has prevented the main product from evolving and delivering the promised “beyond security” vision. Competitors such as Genetec and Axis Communications are now far ahead.
There was a complete turnover of the entire C-level leadership team last year, which only added to the uncertainty and overall sense of instability. The new management also appears to be even less transparent than the previous one.
In addition, there are virtually no career growth opportunities unless you are based at headquarters.
