As most other reviews indicate, this company is stable and the variety of science industry and academics will keep it stable through uncertian times. It is a good place to get the "experience" other companies require before considering your resume.

The most irritating part of this company is the difficulty in moving up in the company. They spend alot of money on programs to attain tallent, however lose interest in retaining that tallent several years down the road. Promotions and raises are based on a bogus review system, when you exceed all on your review you only get 3-4% raise. Benefits are moderately poor, 401K match is much lower than my previous company, Health insurance is typical but more expensive than at previous place of employment. Laboratory climate control is non-existant and lab regularly exceeds 90F during the summer. Company is hesitant to put money into research and development
