Great office available downtown Detroit with great walkability to Woodward Ave. The benefits packages were good, same with the technology offered. I really enjoyed the yearly Health & Wellness Reimbursements that paid for additional office supplies and gym memberships. They have generous PTO benefits once you work over 2 years at the company. Clients & other agencies offered fun company oriented activities from time to time.

Management and other team members were very cliquey and didn't offer their subordinates any room for growth or mentorship. It was clear to see that you needed to be a certain "type" of individual or further on in your career for anyone to care about you. There was no true "end of year reviews" and feedback was never given at a consistent pace that allowed for learnings. Micro-management was brutal and harsh. Managers were not trained properly and did not know how to handle difficult situations. They would flee from any problems and not face them head on. Pure dedication to work and allowing for a more transparent workplace was low. Working from Home did not conduce any sort of feeling of appreciation or culture at the agency. Upon being laid-off for "down-sizing" reasons, not a single person reached out to me from the almost 4 years I worked there. They were cold, soulless, and did not show that they even cared about the hard work and dedication put in for the amount of years I have been there. I was essentially ghosted upon the spot.

-Good pay. Hired at just over 100K as a manager with 3 years of experience. Maybe because they planned for me to do 3 roles combined into one. -Nice team and ADs/Director, but this can very account by account. -Lots of exposure to clients and other media brands which can help put WPP into context.

-Refused to add support to our understaffed team: When I joined my team, I took the responsibilities of 3 members who recently left. Despite begging for help and an associate to split the load with for the duration of my time at MS, I never received one. Now that I have put in my two week notice, they are pulling 3 onshore people and 2 offshore people to take over my responsibilities... -"Leadership" are mystical overlords you will never meet unless you are at the AD level or above. If you have complaints you better hope your director mentions them otherwise leadership will never hear them. -High turnover: I had 2 directors within 3 months, and one get laid off in the span of two years. -Reliance on cheap foreign labor: More and more pushing for using the GDS team. I was a "manager" with no on shore associates. All of the people I "managed" were on a 9 hour time difference and had bosses of their own.
