      Great teammates and decent pay for the region.

      This hospital has been bought out by HCA. It has NOT changed for the better. It's gone from a non-profit to a for-profit, and that certainly changes the dynamic of the entire hospital system. Suddenly metrics, specifically how fast staff can get patients out of the hospital, have become a major focus. This in turn effects patient care. I only hope that the culture takes a positive upturn or this hospital system will continue to lose employees.

      Full time hours, possible Overtime, I am on a great team, and the people there are really supportive and friendly . They welcomed the new comer with open arms and never once felt like a burden. I

      Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

      The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
