All staff and management of this company are incredibly special. Many talents, and a colorful array of personality and expertise fill the stores. You are surrounded by genuinely good people. The owner herself is what makes this job so chaotic.

The owner is abusive to her management and administration, which is observed and felt throughout all ranks of employees. She is inconsistent with direction which makes stability very difficult to achieve, and makes consistency an impossible goal to reach. She directs changes to the company manuals & employee handbooks so often that it's hard to know when you're in violation of any company procedure. She uses the "company" social media accounts as an avenue to passively abuse the staff, which has often invited the community to berate employees, both in person and on social media. She likes to keep secrets and demand loyalty among her administration, rather than operating with team-like objectives, and she plays blame-game tactics when confronted about her lack of leadership. This is the only place I've ever worked where, when the owner calls or comes into a store, all the management scurry around in panic and uncertainty. Which, is quite a shame because the management actually do an amazing job, despite the hostility they are regularly met with by the owner. She genuinely treats the human beings who work for her as disposable. The guidelines of my job as a Bookkeeper were never outlined for me, except the day of the month my reports were due. She personally attacked a young female CPA who I worked with, and our partnership was terminated as a result. She hold herself in high regard above anyone she employees. She is honestly a nightmare and I would only recommend this company to a social scientist who wants to observe symptoms, actions, and impacts of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).
