I worked here as a contractor. The pay was good, and Walmart was a great client to work with. In my experience with the client’s team, the biggest perk was the strong work-life balance, thanks to their supportive culture.

I was disappointed by how quickly and drastically the company changed my contract. From one day to the next, they removed my PTO benefits—no more paid vacation, sick leave, or any kind of leave unless it was deducted from my salary. Under the new contract, I had no right to any paid time off. The way they treat contractors is very poor. They even refused to issue a basic work certificate, simply because I was a contractor. Payment dates were also changed—from the end of the month to two weeks later—without clear communication or support. When you ask questions, there's no one to turn to. The standard response is, “I’m not the right person for this,” and you're left without answers. As contractors, it feels like HR doesn’t exist for us. I was even told directly by someone in HR: “Sign the new contract with no PTO, or leave the company.” This situation took a toll on my mental health. There’s constant anxiety and uncertainty, especially now that Walmart—Monks’ biggest client—is requiring employees to return to their headquarters. No one really knows what the future holds, and unfortunately, Monks (formerly Zemoga) seems quick to let people go when they're no longer assigned to a client. In conclusion, Zemoga used to be a great company, but ever since it was acquired by Monks, the work culture has significantly deteriorated. I strongly encourage others to think twice before joining. To my friends still there—run while you can. I know many of you, both direct employees in Colombia and international contractors, are hoping to move on.
