The work can be fun.

You're a contractor in a hospital so you don't have onsite HR, meaning each account is like the wild west and you're basically at the mercy of your director. We have several weekly calls where a lot of pretty words are said by upper management, but those are not acted upon consistently at the unit level, and upper management doesn't come by very often to check on these things. Company likes to talk about how they're dominating the other food service companies while being stingy with pay and raises.

flexible schedule. unlimited PTO. never a shortage of work. if you work for a unit with a good manager, that's all you need,

the flexible schedule is also a con. they call you at 6 am and 11 pm about things that can absolutely wait. the unlimited PTO is also a con, they do this so they don't have to pay you out when you leave or remove you, they also don't really let you take off as much time as you want. upper management, the VPs and DPs are nightmares. terrible people that are totally disconnected from the mission and the "corporate culture." they push acceptance at the unit level, and then upper leadership doesn't listen to it at all. The VPS and presidents like to take the CEO out drinking and they all love to party.
