Poorly structured management has created a ‘middle school’ atmosphere. One manager that has been there for several years has been known to actually exclude members of her team from team building exercises simply because she doesn’t like them. This behavior causes a toxic environment which pits employees against each other. Middle management has become stale with turnover increasing year over year. At the end of the day…employees are thankful it’s the end of the day.
