Vantaggi

Great people -- thoughtful, empathic, and driven at all levels of the company. Peek has a very positive culture, open to experimentation, and focused on making a great product. Solid finances -- accelerating revenue from an established customer base, plus a recent round of growth funding from top tier investors. Growth opportunities -- lots of hiring, promotions, and internal mobility within the teams for people looking for a new career track.

Svantaggi

High growth means growing pains, but those are the best kinds of problems to have.

Vantaggi

Really awesome “individual contributors” — as NESN calls them — that are trying to make the company better. You’ll meet some really good people that actually care and have great ideas.

Svantaggi

I have never once worked at a job that didn’t train me for the role I was hired to do… until I joined NESN. I was hired into a leadership role with direct reports, and on my very first day, I was simply placed at my desk with no formal training, resources, or support. You’re set up to fail immediately. I was confused and honestly appalled, because I always want to perform at my best, especially when I’m responsible for leading a team. You’ll be micromanaged, yet somehow senior leadership is practically invisible. As others have mentioned, senior team members relay information to middle managers, who then micromanage your work. It feels like you get no real direction from your actual bosses, but too much direction from the wrong people. It’s toxic and confusing. You’re also required to be in the office four days a week with basically zero flexibility. If you’re not there in person, you’d better be sick or have a valid excuse. The office itself is small and falling apart, with no real perks. You even have to pay for snacks and drinks in the break room… lol. But sure, come in for the “culture.” There was a lot of turnover in the short time I was there, not to mention layoffs that left really great, experienced people without jobs. I wouldn’t recommend working here unless you’re treating it as a stepping stone to gain experience, or you’re just starting out and willing to pay your dues to break into the sports/media industry.
