Frequent misalignment around product details and strategy. In some cases, major product changes are made by leadership without prior discussion, and the product manager is informed only weeks later.
Product KPIs and quarterly goals are defined solely by the CPO, with little to no opportunity for PMs to provide input or challenge them. Often, PMs see these goals for the first time at the same time as the rest of the company.
The PM role is stretched across multiple responsibilities (product management, product ownership, marketing, and sometimes scrum master duties).
