In my experience, employees with backgrounds that emphasize candor, chain of responsibility, and practical problem-solving may find the culture difficult to navigate. Over time, communication seemed to become more focused on tone and perception than substance, which made open discussion and direct feedback harder than it needed to be.

During my time at the company, I saw a noticeable shift in the workplace culture. Communication became much more focused on style than substance, and I felt that candid, direct conversations were no longer valued. My straightforward communication style, which had served me well in the past, no longer seemed to fit the organization's expectations. If you're looking for a workplace that values direct communication and open debate, this may not be the environment you're expecting. The work itself also became increasingly difficult as experienced employees left, creating additional pressure on those who remained. This company once had significant talent and institutional knowledge, but poor management has resulted in the overuse of a small number of employees and the loss of valuable intellectual capital.
