The „brand identity“ and hippness factor seem to guarantee a steady stream of people willing to work below market value - engineering gets no recognition; the marketing department gains all the applause. Example: the CEO might control the exact design of product packaging, while engineers need to beg for resources to keep the actual products alive - some products are drowning in ultra-deep tech debt
