Add hours outside your contract without asking ,contract states can slide hours by 1 hr but can often be over this ie you have a morning contract you can then be put in for an afternoon shift , then becomes your problem if you can’t do , also put you in for days outside your contracted day , forget having family at Xmas Next is your priority !! You will get xmas day off that’s it, yes we work xmas eve and Boxing Day most employees accept this , but you cannot arrange anything pre or post these days for 2 week xmas and new year period as you are put in for shifts outside your contract without agreement , career prospects are low unless you are part of managements clique , they will be the chosen ones .
