Vantaggi

Free food (stalked kitchen) no oven or stove.

Svantaggi

Parking - while it is free there is limited spaces and is first come first serve. Aside from that, some park as if they drive a tank. Location - while conveniently located barely out side the downtown core, I have slipped on and/or ran over syringe style needles daily and found homeless hiding between parked cars. Staff - while most are willing to help, they are just as quick, if not quicker, to stab you in the back. Most are 2 faced and the rest act as if you don't exist or are out to get them. Management - employees are set to fight each other to make their "quota" of billable hours. Which breeds a foundation of negative cut-throat type of competition, creating a highly stressful environment. And as we all know it is a labour relations LAW that the management provide a safe working environment. HUGE FAIL. Plus the management, while highly educated with university diplomas/degrees, are not placed (or hired) for their appropriate roles. There is zero direction implemented and the atmosphere/culture is inverted to how a successful business operates.

Vantaggi

Really great company culture from middle management downward. Upper management can have pros and cons, but still like working here.

Svantaggi

Pay isn't exactly the most competitive

Vantaggi

The team I work with is dedicated and loyal to the company and takes an ownership mentality.

Svantaggi

If you care, you’ll give up your nights, your weekends, your blood, sweat, tears, joy, you’ll miss family events, even health appointments, your house will fall apart, your relationships will suffer, and you might even get asked to shorten your time away. There is nobody in the positions of the right help, and far too many managers, and too many per diem who have other jobs that can’t give enough hours but hold per diem positions hostage. When you ask for help, it’s always answered with a “We are trying”. Yet it’s been years of asking and the ask still falls on deaf ears. The company is missing opportunities to grow a huge revenue stream because they won’t create structure and processes; and positions to manage those structures. There are so many missed opportunities here, in a field that really needs us. I don’t know how to make my voice louder. It’s just not heard. We are top heavy in management. We need certain tasks completed, and are not getting what we need, no matter how many meetings we have about it. In fact, I don’t have time for the meetings anymore. We didn’t even celebrate Nurse’s Week. Not a single person even mentioned it. They work you to within an ounce left of your sanity, and then there’s absolutely no recognition or cohesiveness or celebration of any achievmemts instead, it’s “We didn’t make our quota.”. It’s all hurry up and get your work done, but then slow down because you’re making mistakes. Pay is mediocre for this level of experience and expertise-non-management level positions elsewhere offer far more in salary. Plus all the money you’ll spend to try to get things done just to manage your life, like paying for grocery delivery because you’ll never see the inside of a grocery store again. It’s madness. Not a sustainable career.
