Since beginning at Nextiva I knew there was something special here, there was an energy. I submitted my resume 5 times before being called in for an interview. Upon walking in, I had no idea what I was in for. I began my career in Technical Support as a Tier 1 technician. It was a lower position than I am used to but I could see the career opportunities from a mile away. Within 4 months I was promoted to Customer Success, a customer experience based department within Nextiva and I instantly gained a spotlight. The role had a managerial feel to it and I was suddenly providing valuable data about our customer's experience to our Executive Management team. The department grew and after about year of facilitating the department by myself I now have a team of 3. I now manage not only the Customer Success department but my role has expanded to promoting our "Amazing Service" culture as a whole. I am happy to go to work every day and there isn't one day that's the same as the next. There is always something to do and I'm always looking at ways to improve the experience for our valued clients and our employees. I list this as a pro because I want people to understand there is tons of room for career growth, the opportunities have not ceased. Not to mention I am provided food and drinks on a daily basis. Mojo Yogurt on Mondays, catered bagel breakfasts on Wednesdays and catered lunch every Friday. Not just pizza and subs, we have mom & pop quality food places from around the valley cater our lunches and they are amazing. Working at Nextiva is a pro in itself and I look forward to a long career here!

Perception is everything. My perception as a "glass half full" kind of person doesn't really allow me to look at cons in the negative way it's commonly viewed. Is there room for improvement in some areas, yes, but we can change it. Not everything is perfect but if you take on a positive approach and work towards the things that need improvement it will get done and things will continue to get better as the company continues to grow.
