      Frequent layoffs, recently hyd R&D team is completely lay-offed, You will be hired by luck not by your talent (No uniformity in recruitment). No HR, manager is everything, need to maintain good relations with him otherwise , irrespective of how much you work hikes and promotions are gone Most of the work is maintenance of existing products. Skills will be eroded after working here for some time

      Decent starting salary, good benefits, generous PTO

      1% raises forever. Last promotion I got to Principal had no raise but a bump in bonus percentage. Now they are giving kids 8-12% raises and they have less than 5 yrs. Once you hit about 5 yrs you will get the 1% a yr and be pigeon holed into a specific job. Then good luck trying to change.
