Great group of people to work with, challenging work environment (never get bored), lots of opportunities to technically grow and learn new things, family feel and work environment, and great pay and benefits. Working for a small business, I feel like I actually add value, versus just being a number. The management team listens and considers my input. We also have regular feedback meetings which I find very valuable. After working for Nor-Cal, I don't think I will ever be able to go back to a large corporate, environment.

Not really a "con", but the management team has high expectations of all team members-- the bar is set high. As long as you have a work ethic, perform your job responsibilities, and a positive attitude, you have nothing to worry about. But lazy people don't last long here. If you want to walk around and chit chat most of the day, or play on Facebook, I recommend you go work for the state or for a larger company where you can hide. You definitely can't hide here, but your efforts don't go unnoticed.
