I've been at North American Bancard for just under a year and I really don't have any complaints so far, other than I haven't yet met CEO Marc Gardner. My coworkers are friendly, my boss is very knowledgeable and encouraging, and it just seems to be a great atmosphere, overall. I am paid well for my position, and the benefits are good, too - beyond medical, vision and dental (first place I've EVER worked that has both dental AND vision benefits!), we have 401K (50% match up to $3,500 annually), vacations and personal days, a relaxed dress code (I wear jeans every day!), TV's tuned to different channels lining the hallways, and free coffee, slushies and popcorn. The building is newer and has nice decor, which I consider a benefit. Plus, every day the company brings in local restaurants, food trucks and caterers for breakfast and lunch. Some are better than others, but it's nice to know that if you're running late in the morning and don't have time for breakfast, or you forget your lunch, you don't have to fight the mall traffic and traffic getting on and off I-75 to get a bite to eat.

Just a couple of things I can think of - 1. The employee portion of the medical benefits is a bit on the pricey side. There are several options, and I signed up for the lowest deductible plan, so I expect to pay more than someone who signed up for one of the higher deductible plans. But I am paying just about the same amount I was when I was carrying my own independent plan, which I thought was too high. 2. Personal days. We only get three a year, which IMO is a little skimpy. Most people I know get at least five. It would be nice to have a couple more, just to have a little extra security, so when you get sick and want to stay home, you don't wonder if you're "sick enough" to burn through a personal day or not. Or if you want or need a day off, outside of a vacation, like for a doctor's appointment or a repair man.

Joining this company has been well beyond my expectations. The culture is incredibly supportive, for the talent team (Mollie) combined with the training, nothing has beenless than exceptional, and the benefits reflect a true investment in employees. It's easy to understand why the company was recognized as one of the best fintech companies to work for in 2023. From day one, I've felt welcomed, valued, and set up for success. I feel incredibly humbled and grateful to be part of such a talented and people-focused organization. If you get the chance.. dont hesitate

Wished I had started my career here years ago!

I’ve worked at North for several years and have had the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally during my time here. One of the biggest positives is that the company promotes from within and gives people opportunities to advance if they consistently perform and take initiative. Leadership roles are attainable, and hard work does get recognized. The sales environment is fast-paced and performance driven, which can be a great fit for motivated individuals who enjoy challenges and growth. I’ve worked with a lot of genuinely supportive coworkers and leaders who are willing to help newer employees develop their skills. Like most sales organizations, there can be pressure tied to goals and metrics, and work-life balance may fluctuate depending on your role and workload. The pace is not for everyone, especially if you prefer a slower or more structured environment. Communication and processes can also evolve quickly, which sometimes creates growing pains. Overall, I would recommend the company to someone who is ambitious, coachable, and looking for long-term growth opportunities in sales or payments. Your experience here will largely depend on the effort you put in and your willingness to adapt in a high-performance environment.

My cons aren’t really cons. My entire review is a pro.
