Vantaggi
Worked from home. My immediate work colleagues were a great team and I enjoyed working with them.
Svantaggi
People here are unhappy and disgusted including myself. This company has shown that they do not respect or appreciate their employees. The company is embarrassingly self-serving. They want smart, creative, hardworking employees, but they want to pay them as little as they think they can get away with. They are insulting good people and damaging their own reputation. If you try to have a meaningful conversation with them, they refuse to listen or to make any attempt to resolve issues. They shut you down, and 'ghost' you repeatedly. It's very disturbing to all of us who have tried to communicate regarding issues. Recently an example of their hubris and disregard for employees--- No one got a significant, DESERVED, and necessary raise despite the fact that it had been YEARS since they got one. This company essentially converted an employee's profit sharing amount previously given in intervals, to increments added to the weekly paycheck instead. Any extra is a pittance. They hired a consulting company to tell them what salaries the employees should be making. The conclusions they came to were arbitrary, ridiculous, and simply not true, as well as completely out of touch with reality, and not based on an individuals skills and experience. The whole thing was insulting to all of us. Probably one of the worst things is the blatant hypocrisy here, as well as the disregard for what is right and fair. I was promised that I would be made PRE PRESS SUPERVISOR with more salary within "months" IF I accepted the offer of a job in February 2022. I had explicitly told them I could not accept their offer as it was originally because it was nowhere near what I had made, or fair for even the design position and my skills. They refused to even negotiate. Instead, they told me I was being hired to soon become "pre press supervisor" with more salary, etc. They promised me the new position would be forthcoming. Everyone knew and agreed that this position WAS A CONDITION OF MY EMPLOYMENT. (I have proof of this). I made a big mistake trusting this company. Subsequently, I was given 3 separate dates when my new position would start. NONE OF THEM MATERIALIZED. When I tried to have a meeting and discuss this issue I was ignored. Several other employees thought this was terrible at the time, and had their own stories of similar treatment. Of course, no one in management accepted responsibility. The lack of integrity in this company is the most regrettable and unacceptable issue. Northeast Color sent the message that NONE of us were valued, because they do not listen, are dismissive of us, as well as problems within the company management and culture. They demonstrate no respect for employees. I heard many times from other employees who had been there a long time that the company was great when run by the former owners. They gave control to their son in law---the current boss, who everyone felt was "running the company into the ground". This was certainly what I also saw happening. I had been looking for a new job when recently I along with others were suddenly laid off. We feel is was directly connected to the gross mismanagement and a boss who is not qualified to run a company.
