Since the HQ move, the office has lost all sense of community. The adoption of a hot desking model has diminished the sense of belonging, as it's now impossible to know where a team is or who is in that team. This has fostered a culture of cliques, with people reluctant to step outside their groups. Sitting with your own team is becoming increasingly difficult due to the lack of space when everyone is hot desking. If you want a desk near your team and a parking space, you better be ready to book it at midnight, two weeks in advance. Speaking of culture, there is none. Only a projected image with little buy-in, making it feel superficial. Most of what OCS preaches is a façade. When you look behind it, there's nothing substantial, as no one is willing to see it through to the end. Opportunities for growth and progression are severely lacking. Only those with connections to the top seem to advance in any meaningful way. The work-life balance here feels like you live to work for this company. There's an expectation to work all hours with no additional compensation. We advertise hybrid working, but it's becoming less common, and I suspect it will be phased out next year. As for pay raises at the corporate level, they are either non-existent or a mere 1%.
