*There are some decent people. For the most part, these are the younger directors and newer hires. Unfortunately there are not enough of these people.

*The older directors have not kept up with the times and have little idea what they are doing. In some ways, working for the same company for 40ish years is a benefit. However, there are significant downsides. The firm has outdated policies and procedures and suffers from a general lack of awareness of how other firms have evolved to provide significantly better quality services. *The old directors are not interested in best practices or doing quality work. They are interested in cutting corners and getting things done as cheaply and quickly as possible. *The old directors suck at communication. If you want to be successful, you will need to read minds. *The firm has no real direction or plan for the future. The message from the summer meeting was to be ready for change because if you don't change you will be Blockbuster instead of Netflix. There was no direction. No plan for future. No comments on what they want to change or evolve into. It was just meaningless corporate speak.

There are a couple nice people here. You are lucky if you work with one of them.

ORBA has a very insular culture. It is full of people that have only ever worked at ORBA. Directors are very set in their ways and seem to be only interested in maxing out their pay check. Despite receiving good reviews I was told that ORBA does not usually give raises or pay bonuses. It is not worth putting up with the egos and attitudes at this place. You might like your salary coming in but eventually you will find that you can get paid more elsewhere. The only way to succeed here is to be an ORBA lifer.
