Your comments may discourage others from writing their feedback so we did want to take the time to address the submission rules of providing reviews as found on the Glassdoor Helpcenter Page.
While we cannot know who is writing a review, Glassdoor does evaluate each one before allowing the review to be posted and they have a number of ways to ensure that what is written is from an actual employee, as outlined below:
-Glassdoor users may only write one review per year, per company worked at and only users with validated Glassdoor accounts can submit reviews.
-Employees cannot leave more than one review by creating separate accounts to leave reviews for one company.
-Employees should not use a shared, employer-provided device to leave their review, that could be accessed by the employer. Instead, employees should use their own personal device (whether employer-provided or not) to leave a review.
-When a review is submitted, a combination of technology filters, algorithms, and human moderation are used to identify possible fraudulent content. The process includes reviewing multiple attributes of a submission — including IP address — to help ensure authenticity.
Employers are also held to similar standards and Glassdoor will remove positive reviews if they have evidence that employees were coerced into leaving a review or if a review was created dishonestly. As stated above, they utilize a number of technology filters and algorithms to detect that type of fraud.
As a company we understand that the best way to grow is to listen to those doing the work. We value feedback and provide a number of ways for employees to provide it: bi-monthly employee feedback sessions, bi-annual engagement surveys, open door policies, quarterly All Hands Meetings, Glassdoor, etc. We have utilized much of the feedback we’ve received to create a better work environment. It is still a work in progress and will continue to do what we can to receive and act on feedback from employees.
