Vantaggi

Being a Brand Ambassador with OrderUp had its advantages: - Flexible hours: I started this position to supplement a summer internship, finding available hours on evenings and weekends. It's a solid gig for students or recent grads seeking part-time work. - Lots of perks with free food and branded gear. - Fun to explore the city, interact with restaurant clients and prospective customers, and attend local events (i.e. Farmer's Markets, entrepreneurship panels, cultural celebrations, food and music festivals, etc). - The office is located in a vibrant collective workspace with interesting events related to art and music.

Svantaggi

However.... - We were required to violate campus policies about impermissible outside advertising. We were asked to leave each nearby college numerous times, including many run-ins with security personnel or even police officers. When explaining the situation to our superiors, they responded by telling us to get over our discomfort with illegal behavior and be more discreet next time. - Nearly impossible to regularly schedule more than 20 hours per week - No reimbursement for driving or parking even though I spent a great deal of time in the car. - Grating interactions with rude, condescending management. - Despite several months of experience, I felt as though achieving leadership opportunities or transitioning to higher-level roles within the company was unlikely. - The fun wears off after about three months. It was clearly time to move on.

Vantaggi

Working here is pretty cool, since a lot of the positions are remote. Working from home always has its perks and when your in the office, the environment is pretty laid back to. Most of the staff is friendly and seems like everybody enjoys what they do. Startup vibes when in the office with game nights, free gear, etc. The company, like many others...usually would promote from within, which is great since people often would move up quickly. Working here was mostly positive. Pay is decent , especially for someone finishing or fresh out of college. A few coworkers were able to move into their own places during employment.

Svantaggi

Since you work from home in some positions ,you have these check-ins with management that aren't too useful. You have to stay on top of numbers like a sales job, which sucks since your customer service. You are graded on call performances which is fine, but you could be doing everything perfectly and still not always have perfect scores. Not too bad, but working from home full time will keep you in the house ALOT, so remote jobs have their own pros and cons regardless of the company you work for. Lastly, the logging process of customer and restaurant issues is very tedious, since you literally log every move you make - probably the worst part of the position is filling out tickets. I believe that's mostly what I can say legally . lol
