Vantaggi

They will definitely hire you

Svantaggi

Buy ALL your own gear and come out of your own pocket for all training as well. Also, the pay is so low that you'll never stop hemorrhaging money.

Vantaggi

I have been working for Oregon Patrol Service for over 3 months and have found the management to be very open to working with officers needs for time off for school, military and family. They hire full and part time and have just put new cars in the patrol portion of the company. The pay equal to other companies.

Svantaggi

. You must own your own gear and pay for your own licenses, this is normal for the industry. There are different types of security needs and most companies have the for security while they are closed which is why we work nights and weekends.

Vantaggi

If you have a pulse and your DPSST card, you'll get hired. If you enjoy working overtime, there's plenty of overtime to be had. The pay is on the lower end, but decent compared to other local companies. Lots of opportunities if you're interested in court security, hotel security, vehicle patrol, bank security, etc.

Svantaggi

The scheduling makes absolutely zero sense - you will work day shift one day, night shift the next, followed by another day shift. Your days off are completely random and change every week; not to mention you get your schedule 1-2 days before the week starts. The uniforms are very cheap and fall apart very easily. The turnover is the highest in the metro area, so be prepared for last minute schedule changes and to come in early/stay late. No real benefits.
