On a positive note, the colleagues I interacted with were friendly, and the clients were generally good people. However, the drawbacks, including micromanagement, limited time off, and the expectation to work on holidays like Thanksgiving and New Year's Day, outweighed these positives. The pressure to bill time, even if artificially, added an additional layer of discomfort to the overall work experience.

While my colleagues at this company were generally pleasant to work with, I found that the management team was less receptive to feedback or concerns. There was a noticeable tendency towards micromanagement, and the expectation to constantly bill time to clients, even during periods of inactivity, created a challenging work environment. This approach, in my opinion, hindered the company's potential growth as an MSP, as shortcuts were prioritized over dedicated client service. Despite the company's claims in HR comments, the retention rate did not align with a positive narrative. A significant number of new hires left within the initial three months, and a recurring pattern of terminations and resignations every month underscored the challenge of retaining talent. The assertion of an 'average' tenure of six years, as per HR, seems influenced by a select few individuals who have remained with the company for an extended period.

This company is different from the rest. Their strategy to service their customers is way better than any MSP I have worked for or heard of. They take really good care of their employees. Since day 1 I asked for complete transparency and have received it. They have great pay, PTO, they pay for your certs and training for career growth, atmosphere and vibes amongst peers is great, we have monthly outings for the whole company. I personally have made so many long lasting relationships I couldn't ask for a better place to work. Oh and upper management is the best part. No matter what, they are always in your corner and will help you in anyway possible. The people over here are humble, want to help their customers and truly show their appreciation for their employees in so many different ways.

I travel a lot which is my Con but that just comes with the territory.

There are excellent and interesting people at some of the businesses contracting OSG who may provide good faith career advice if asked in earnest.

Svantaggi

Poor long-term prospects and career cooler, poor cost of living wage increases coupled with a desire to undervalue staff. I'm biased and hurt by their behavior, but the proof is in a revolving door of new hires.
