It bums me out because I wanted to love Ovative - I thought this was a place that finally nailed it, an agency with a soul. Unfortunately that is not it. For those new to their careers, they will learn a lot. However, they will also be crushed by the weight of everyone's expectations. Longevity is not thought of at Ovative. O/g also had to have a campaign to get people to start blasting GlassDoor with positive reviews so that people would not be dissuaded and we could finally fix all of the turn over we have been having. You will work weekends, people will disrespect you and you will be told to just "go with it" and "be a team player". For anyone who does not want work to be their life, Ovative will chew you up and spit you out. Is Dale great - he is, amazing guy. Does O/g want to practice what it preaches - 10,000% Do they actually do it - absolutely not. I have had to have multiple meetings with people because of disrespectful comments, feedback or passive aggressive moves being made. These same people were shocked that I sat them down to try and work something out and looked like deer in headlights when I said, "hey we are all trying our best here, can you tell me where some of this animosity is coming from?". There is zero feedback and if it is given retaliation will be swift. If you are good at managing teams, you will be miserable at Ovative. There is next to no support, there is only one way to do things, there are no processes, no project management and it is all ego based. The favoritism is unreal - as a manager you will have to fight tooth and nail to get your direct reports reputation changed. So much good talent gets buried because they are not a favorite. I have had to cancel personal plans, appointments and miss so many things due to this job. Plan to wake up stressed. We do not push back on clients here. Instead of it being a partnership, we are told that "this is the exception, not the rule" it is 10,000% the rule. The junior staff will be mad that you cannot pull their custom reports in the way they like (even if your answer is still correct). Management won't like that you are "being too negative" when you are giving constructive feedback. With enough willpower, you can change things. If you are willing to work an additional few hours on top of the 50 you already do. If you are a people leader who cares, save your energy for a place that sees what you bring to the table. You might see some senior folks on here saying that "people cannot handle the culture" - let me translate that for you - "we don't like critical thinking that causes people to question our methods so we will gaslight you into submission." The ego at this company is insane. People genuinely think they can do no wrong and that is because management has to hype people up to the point of having a god complex or no one would stay. Ovative might want to think about changing its name to "Burnout Group".

difficult to maintain good work-life balance. leadership and senior management really varies by team; doesn't seem like there's a strong pipeline or structure in place (have seen a lot of senior leadership turnover in the past couple years); not very diverse but you can tell they're trying
