Vantaggi

Pretty much everyone working at the firm is intelligent, motivated, and has a keen interest in the energy sector. Good development opportunities allow new hires to quickly learn the fundamentals of the industry. Managers aren't just senior consultants, they actually know how to manage. Unlike some of the larger generalist consultancies, analytical work feels fresh and innovative. Positive work environment is a major plus given the amount of time spent in the office.

Svantaggi

Very little sense of integration between the groups. Few projects get attention from more than once business unit, and there isn't a whole lot of data sharing. The firm is structured in a way that groups are sometimes in the situation where they compete against one another for business, leading to noticeable friction between senior managers.

Vantaggi

The people at PFC Energy are some of the best informed individuals on the planet. I was constantly blown away by the international connections and perspectives being made. Everyone was incredibly professional but also clearly enjoyed working with one another.

Svantaggi

Individuals are afforded a large degree of independence, which can be stifling for those who thrive on group work.

Vantaggi

you will defiantly learn alot. it's a place where you can develop your energy knowledge from seniors and also be mentored. You will also have the ability to work on special projects if picked. The work life balance at the firm is wonderful. Other consulting firms are sweat shops compared to PFC

Svantaggi

Leadership doesn't really care about the needs of their employees. for example, as others probably have mentioned, promotion, salary increases, bonuses are basically non existent. If a promotion happens, it's not because someone deserved it, it's because they were in the position subordinate to that for "their time." Another major con is that if you have great idea and better ways of how the business should run, they don't want to hear it and don't care about your opinion...you're junior and have to obey your ranks. major pitfall since the organization can not evolve if they are unwilling to let other's help them face the mirror. Last major con is that you'll probably not going to meet clients...a major reason why people join a consulting firm. Pay is also well below (30-40%) lower than IHS and other consulting firm in the space.
