Vantaggi
Decent pay for the area.
Svantaggi
The hiring process takes literally over a month. The pay is horrible for the industry as a whole. The management team treats non-management as second class citizens. They say they prefer to promote from within, but 90% of advancement opportunities are filled with inexperienced outside candidates. They won't give a raise that puts you earning more than anyone who's been employed for any amount of time longer than you, despite knowledge, work ethic, abilities, etc., because it would be "unfair". Eligible employees disappear when profit sharing time comes around. You're forced to sign a 2 year non-compete regardless of position, this seems to be to keep you from going to another company for higher pay and better benefits. If they do promote from within they'll choose literally the worst employees, not figuratively, the ones who repeatedly break the "zero tolerance" rules. The maintenance team sits around watching youtube and napping. The plant is perpetually understaffed for all these reasons.
