They have an entire HR department devoted to Territory Managers who are not hitting numbers. They don't go by calendar year they go by a rolling 6 months. So you can still be up for the year but have 3 negative months and boom on a PIP. unheard of! RSM can control your destiny. Under previous RSM I was on track for a promotion. New RSM came aboard and all promotional opportunities were denied. This is NOT the case in all areas but specifically in Chicago. Never have I been this stressed out over sales numbers when you really don't have that much to be able to influence.
