      The R&D arm of this company is horrific. I worked in a very toxic lab environment in grad school so I was thrilled to go to an industrial lab where everyone is working for the same company and in it together.....not at all the case at PPG. Idea theft and falsification of data runs rampant, it also is the rewarded so it is not the place for you if you want to do good science. HR policies and treatment of employees is decades behind most modern companies.

      - Education benefits (but access/support depends on your manager) - Flexible workplace (work hours/wfh) - Diverse workforce.

      - Does not support employee promotions. Very difficult to get promoted if you are not an engineer. - Low pay, salary increases depend on manager. For the past couple years, most employees did not even receive adjustment for inflation. - Constantly loses top talent because management is unwilling to invest to keep good employees.
