You will be responsible for real things that influence the company profits, and learn a lot. People are smart and good, not as toxic as it used to be. Lots of internal and external seminars and you can connect with someone pretty easily. Culture is getting better, but not quite there by 21st century standards. Eg, just increased parental leave from 1 week to 6 weeks, which is a pretty small improvement. People work hard to improve the culture, but leadership has to be there with them and set them up for success. This is a conservative company, so even if pay is lower, you're less likely to get fired or laid off.

Too much to do, and would rather burn out its people than hire more people to share the load. Everyone has to do everything, and people leave and don't get replaced. Lots of mindless paperwork. They want more organic growth but put roadblocks in the way constantly, and if you want to move a proposal forward you're doing all the work. The pay doesn't compare to other big chemical companies ( they only compare to local companies, not companies that actually recruit at their target universities). Takes a long time to get promoted on technical ladder. They claim they're fixing it but who knows.

- Education benefits (but access/support depends on your manager) - Flexible workplace (work hours/wfh) - Diverse workforce.

Svantaggi

- Does not support employee promotions. Very difficult to get promoted if you are not an engineer. - Low pay, salary increases depend on manager. For the past couple years, most employees did not even receive adjustment for inflation. - Constantly loses top talent because management is unwilling to invest to keep good employees.
