Private Equity ruins everything. Our reward after hitting the “best quarter ever” was to be told by our drug-addled CEO that we can’t “live in the past” and he berated members of the leadership team for not getting off to a stronger start that current quarter. Shortly thereafter a few of the top (competent) leaders left, (including the role that calculated our commissions), the CEO was fired, a clueless bootlicker was put in to replace him, and a round of layoffs took out 50% of Sales, all of whom were stiffed on their quarterly commission (which was roughly 1/2 of their overall compensation).
A few months later management had the audacity to try to bring some salespeople back - all of whom laughed as they went on to work elsewhere.
