I worked at Paktolus Solutions for almost five years. During that time, I was committed to my work, consistently delivered on my responsibilities, worked late nights and weekends when required, and maintained professional relationships with my colleagues and managers.
Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing and left me feeling undervalued despite my contributions. Throughout my tenure, I often felt that my efforts were overlooked, while comparisons with other employees were frequently made in ways that negatively affected my confidence rather than helping me grow professionally. Instead of receiving constructive guidance and support, I often felt that I was being made to feel inadequate.
The appraisal process was one of my biggest concerns. Every year, there seemed to be a new reason why a meaningful raise or recognition could not be provided. In one instance, despite having worked the entire year and performing well, I received only a partial increment period. Even after discussing and challenging appraisal decisions, I felt that my concerns were rarely taken seriously and the outcomes remained largely unchanged.
Career growth and employee development also appeared inconsistent. In my experience, opportunities and support were not always distributed fairly. It often felt that visibility and personal relationships with management mattered more than actual performance and contributions.
Another concern was the company culture around feedback and public perception. Employees were sometimes asked to post reviews about the company while sharing their screens and being guided through the process. Because of this, I personally question whether all online reviews reflect completely independent employee opinions.
My exit experience was particularly disappointing. After dedicating nearly five years to the company, I had hoped that my commitment and loyalty would be taken into consideration during notice-period discussions. However, there was no flexibility provided. The company enforced the full buyout amount despite being aware that my new employer was not reimbursing those costs. While this may have been within company policy, the lack of understanding or goodwill toward a long-serving employee was discouraging.
What hurt most was the attitude displayed by some people during my resignation. Rather than acknowledging my years of contribution and wishing me success, there were comments and reactions that made it seem as though leaving the company was somehow unreasonable after everything I had given to the organization.
Looking back, I invested a significant amount of time, energy, and personal commitment into my work here. I always approached my job professionally, avoided workplace conflicts, and did my best to support the company's goals. Unfortunately, I did not feel that the same level of respect, appreciation, or support was extended to me in return.
