I’ve been proud to work for Paychex since I became an employee almost 4 yrs ago. I saw myself growing with the company. Earlier this week, my vision quickly changed.
The way Paychex handled the transition for the SMB sales team is extremely disappointing. I suppose Paychex saw COVID-19 circumstances as an opportune time to change peoples' roles & reduce their pay significantly.
2 days into our FY, the SMB division split into virtual and channel sales teams. My salary is now less than what I was making my 1st year employed. Over the years, I developed several referring relationships. These accounts specifically requested to work with me and now they are unable to. So basically, my book of business is now someone else’s, who didn’t earn or put effort in the clients trust.
I risked my health in early March commuting to visit my accounts to only be blindsided & have my hard earned work taken away from me a few weeks later.
