      Paychex offers a very competitive, excellent benefit package complete with a decent 401K match. Brand/name recognition makes it easier to get in the door with prospective clients. It's what happens after you win a client that's concerning.

      Paychex has always been behind the curve when it comes to technology, trying to keep up with its competitors rather than coming to market first. I speak from my experience as a payroll/HR sales representative, selling technology solutions to larger businesses. Larger businesses rely heavily on their payroll processor to provide sound advice, accurate reporting, & technology they can count on to perform consistently.

      Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

      People and the overall environment is a positive one. If you do your part, definite long term career potential. It’s not easy- but stable, growing. Worth serious consideration for early career looking for sales experience with a great training program. Also good for mid-career consideration if base salary isn’t the primary reason you are in sales.

      Very fast pace that doesn’t suit everyone. If you are looking for easy or just a job to “hang out”, this probably isn’t the right spot for you.
