Pay sucks. It's not what they promise in interview. Expect $20,000 average in commission plus salary. There are some that make a lot more. Potential is there if you are in a unique area and have phenomenal internal referring partners. Most areas are saturated and most partners are selfish and never do top down selling to refer you into a sale.

Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

It’s a large company with many opportunities to grow, but smaller companies may offer higher compensation.

People and the overall environment is a positive one. If you do your part, definite long term career potential. It’s not easy- but stable, growing. Worth serious consideration for early career looking for sales experience with a great training program. Also good for mid-career consideration if base salary isn’t the primary reason you are in sales.

Very fast pace that doesn’t suit everyone. If you are looking for easy or just a job to “hang out”, this probably isn’t the right spot for you.
