Nice product, some very experienced people still there from before administration who would be able to teach you a lot if you are just starting out and want to learn. If you are lucky some of the regional managers are excellent - some are far from this though!

Shocking pay for management - contract states 39 hours per week, however a normal week will be 42.5 (not including the dinner breaks you won't be able to take due to no staff). If you care about how your store looks you will find yourself working much longer hours to maintain standards as the workload far exceeds the hours you will be allocated. Staff training is none existent and there are no extra hours allocated for this - there is one training officer who covers both peacocks and EWM and she can not be contacted by email?? Could go on and on, worked for the company for a long time and it is sad to see how it is now run - which can only be described as appalling!! The job has always been extremely fast paced but workload and hours do not match. The attitude of the CEO with regards to staff is 'if they won't do it someone else will' WORST RETAILER I've ever worked for and my advice would be don't touch with a barge pole!!
