Genuinely lovely, smart and innovative colleagues in the lower ranks. The decent benefits you'd expect from a huge corporate. If you can get through the red tape to the customers using the products you can feel a sense of achievement.

Svantaggi

Cutting of jobs to appease shareholders means genuine talent and expertise in systems and processes is lost. Those who are left are given far too much to do which stifles their ability to do what's best for the customer. Company believes it's at the cutting edge of technology and education but the thick layer of traditional corporate men in suits will prevent any radical transformation. Rhetoric externally is about caring for employees and learners however internally employees suffer from overwork and lack of direction. Leaders are leaders in name only, the Pearson model of management is moulded, rigid and traditional and the bright young things in the company that will determine its future (if they're ever given the chance) are not following the march of the clone army.

Bad behavior is tolerated when you have a weak team member. They are allowed to remain on payroll, even if they do not effectively contribute. The burden is often placed on the team members willing to pick up the slack. Promotions are not given to the most qualified. They are randomly assigned. There are some horrible scoring directors as a result.
